Didn't they say in one of the blogs that the axe is the same one that Gimli uses? And that they made Gloin look as much like Gimli as possible... Good thing

and that they tried to make Hobbit's Gloin look as resemble to LOTR's Gloin even though they were two different actors (that's what i heard)
