Re: Silmarillion/The Children of Hurin
I LOVE the silmarillion!! I think I have 3 or 4 copies of it. I like it more than the rest of his works other than "The Histories of Middle-Earth, The Book of Lost Tales" the second volume has a lot more about Gondolin which is my favorite ancient city. Would anyone that doesn't speak English as a first language want to do a trade for the Silmarillion in english??

These are my favorite books, they cover so much more of the Silmarillion than got published.

I might be getting History of Middle-Earth soon :D

I'd rather have the one with each book separate, but as long as I'll have it I'll be as happy as a just cured hedgehog! Got to buy Sillmarillion soon, so I have all necessary and needed information about Middle-Earth at hand.
I haven't read Children of Húrin, is it good?

Re: Silmarillion/The Children of Hurin
So, my dream came true, well at least part of it.
My beloved dwarf-in-arm who was so kind and sent me first 5 books of History of Middle-Earth! Nice paperback books are now being read and when not, they rest next to Sillmarillion and Children of Húrin :) Unfortunately I don't have much time to read, partly for rewatching Strike Back and LotR and roleplaying at fb (not being that good, unfortunately), but this will make me to finish them all soon!
I'll send the picture, had to share my sheer happiness

OMG. Looks amazing. But first, i have to finish Lord of the rings. I'll be ready with that after my birthday, so I could download the ebook version of it.

Well, those are fantastic, but it feels like at history lesson, so much to remember! But it feels so nice to see the world of Middle-Earth expand to vast universe. It's so hard to believe it's only a fiction...
I need to re-read LotR books too... They are on my bedstand, ready to go for another journey :)

Re: Silmarillion/The Children of Hurin
The children of Hurin is a great book, Christopher did a really good job finishing it up and getting it ready to be published. Honestly it has never been my favorite Tolkien story but it really pulls you into the tale and by the end I was pretty much ready to cry. Hope you guys enjoy it

Re: Silmarillion/The Children of Hurin
What is the children of Hurin about? Like the Simarillion is 'only' about elves. Is it only about men?Felagund wrote:The children of Hurin is a great book, Christopher did a really good job finishing it up and getting it ready to be published.
